Karachi-Quetta intercity coaches observe strike against daily robberies

KARACHI: The drivers of Karachi-Quetta intercity coaches have gone on strike today (Tuesday) against the ongoing daily robberies on the route.

The strike observing drivers have said that the robberies in coaches have become a daily routine on their route between Quetta to Karachi.

They added that few days ago robbers also robbed few Hajj pilgrims on the route and took their passport and travelling documents as well; consequently they all turned deprived of their opportunity to perform Hajj.

The drivers have demanded that their Quetta-Karachi route should be handed over to the Frontier Constabulary (FC). They also threaten that till FC is appointed on their Karachi-Quetta route, they will not run their coaches.
