Karachi target killings intensify - four killed in latest row

KARACHI: Target killing incidents have once again intensified in the metropolis as three dead bodies were found in a car near the airport. In addition, one youth was shot dead in Qasba Colony, Orangi Town on Thursday.

According to police, three abandoned dead bodies were found in a car near PTCL's Head Office in Airport Police Station limits. Two dead bodies were recovered from the trunk and one from the back seat of the car.

Police added that the three deceased were kidnapped from unknown places and shot dead after brutal torture. The killers were on their way to throw the dead bodies away somewhere, but due to a rear tire puncture, they were compelled to abandon the car and bodies.

Police have identified the deceased as Khalid Siddiqui (40 years old), Shahbaz Ahmad (22 years old) and Sabir Ali (32 years old). All three deceased were residents of North Karachi, Sector-11G.

Meanwhile, 25 year old Zahid Gul was shot dead by unknown attackers in Qasba Colony, Orangi Town.

Target killings have increased to an alarming level over the past few days; residents of the city demand that law enforcement agencies take stern action against miscreants.
