CJ-LHC takes suo moto notice of burning a murderer accused overtly

LAHORE: The Chief Justice (CJ) of Lahore High Court (LHC) has taken suo moto notice of burning a murderer accused overtly in the presence of police in Dera Ghazi Khan.

LHC's CJ Khwaja Sharif has summoned DPO Dera Ghazi Khan and SHO of Choti Zairin Police Station to appear before court on Friday.

A few days ago, a banned outfit’s activist, Hafiz Abdullah, had been arrested by police for an alleged murder.

Later on, angry people of the area killed him in police custody before burning his corpse publicly.
