Canal breach inundates village, crops in Nawabshah

NAWABSHAH: A 30-foot wide breach in Khadar Link Canal inundated a village and thousands of acres of crops in Nawabshah Sunday night.

The Irrigation Department confirmed that Mewah Ali Jamali village and crops were devastated by the breach.

Sugar cane, bana and mango fields have been greatly affected by the canal water.

Efforts are underway to fill the breach to prevent further losses
