Police hunts for two suspects over Imran Farooq's murder

LONDON: A British newspapers claimed that detectives probing the death of MQM leader, Dr. Imran Farooq, are hunting for two murderers, SAMAA learnt Monday.

The paper further said that he was stabbed repeatedly before being hit on the head with bricks.

British Newspaper 'Daily Mirror' claimed in its report with reference to Scotland Yard’s investigation, that some political motives might be involved in Imran Farooq’s murder.

“He was killed by more than one person, who are being hunted,” report said.

The British newspaper claimed that he was hit on the head with bricks. Earlier, the preliminary report said that his death was caused by the wound on his head.

MQM leader Dr. Imran Farooq was stabbed to death in Mill Hills, London late Thursday night.

Dr. Farooq, 50, was a leading member of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) and fled to the UK in 1999, claiming asylum.
