The Co-ordination Committee of Muttahida Qaumi Movement will evolve strategy against awarding punishment to Dr Farooq Sattar.
A press release said on Saturday that the Central Office of Muttahida (Nine-Zero) received a number of telephone calls from all parts of Sindh reacting against the verdict.
It said people described the decision as cruel. It declared that Muttahida would not give up its struggle against feudal system that would never allow Haqparast people to play their due role in politics. It said Dr Farooq’s disqualification reflected the same approach of the establishment and exposed all the tall claims of the military government regarding transparent and fair accountability.
Meanwhile, the Muttahida chief Altaf Hussain and the co-ordination committee expressed deep shock and grief over the killing of 10 people in the bomb blast in Mehran Express at Hyderabad Railway Station.
The committee said it reflected failure on the part of the military government and alleged that they government machinery was keen to crush Muttahida and its supporters instead of concentrating over security and protection of the citizens. It demanded of the chief executive to immediately take notice of the accidents and bombs blasts in Sindh. It further demanded to provide medical assistance to injured persons and reasonable compensation for the victims.
Meanwhile, Muttahida Zonal Committees’ leaders and members of Khidmat-e-Khalq Foundations visited Hyderabad Civil Hospital to inquire about the condition of the injured people. Members of the Foundation also rushed the injured to Bhittai Hospital and Civil Hospital and assisted them while donating blood.
