Nawaz rules out merger of Muslim League factions

LAHORE: PML-N chief Mian Nawaz Sharif has ruled out the possibility of unification of Muslim League factions in the presence of Q-league leaders Chaudhry brothers and Awami Muslim League (AML) leader Sheikh Rashid.

Pakistan Muslim League-Functional (PML-F) leader Pir Pagara had approached Mian Nawaz Sharif as part of ongoing efforts to unify factions of Muslim Leagues.

In an indirect message, the PML-N chief has made it clear to Pir Pagra that presence of Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain and Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi and Sheikh Rashid is a major hurdle in the merge of Muslim League factions.

Sources close to Nawaz Sharif said that PML-N has no greed for power.

Pakistan needs a strong government and that the coalition government won’t be able to resolve the challenges facing the nation, says the message.

The message further said that the PML-N could consider seat adjustment in the next general election
