Ajmal Kasaab, Malik seeks account of Indian magistrate

ISLAMABAD: Federal Interior Minister Abdul Rehman Malik has said Saturday that the Indian magistrate who recorded statement of Ajmal Kasaab, the Mumbai attack suspect, should come to Pakistan to give his account in order for further action into case, Geo news reported Saturday night.

“Sans Indian magistrate’s statement, it is almost impossible to take further correspondence into case”, he said.

He was talking to media here in Islamabad. Malik said terror attacks in Lahore were on cards as security forces and Punjab government had been warned through intelligence report against likelihood of such barbaric attacks.

“Terrorists want to destabilize Punjab government by targeting Lahore time and again”, he observed adding, insurgents merely seek to spark thrill in country despite our government has become triumphant in curbing this menace a great deal.

Advising media, Malik said reporters must stay cautious while reporting incidents of terrorism, hoping that a code of conduct would soon be formulated in this wake after having taken media personnel under confidence.
