Violence leaves 5 dead in Karachi

KARACHI: At least five people, including a political activist, were shot dead in different parts of the metropolis over the last 12 hours.

According to reports, an unidentified person was gunned down in Korangi. The killing sparked tension in the area.

In another incident, two gunmen kill a young man in Nazimabad. The motive behind his killing is not yet clear.

Besides, unknown assailants shot dead a political activist in the limit of Risala Police Station. He was identified as Kamran Qadri.

In North Nazimabad, Ayub, 38, was killed inside his house.

On the other hand, rangers raided house of a political party’s member near Lee Market and recovered six grenades, eight Kalashnikovs, 9 MM Pistols and 8 MM rifles from his custody.

Several other suspects were also arrested in late night raids in the city
