Train derailed on Norway-Sweden border, injuring 40

OSLO: About 40 people were injured when a passenger train travelling between Oslo and Stockholm was derailed near the Norwegian-Swedish border on Friday, the Norwegian railway company NSB said.

None of the injuries were life threatening, NSB said. The train had approximately 280 passengers on board.

"The injured were taken to local hospitals and some back to Oslo, while the others spent the night in the local city hall and were taken to their final destination on buses this morning," a NSB spokesman said on Saturday
