Six dacoits arrested after police encounter in Karachi

KARACHI: Six dacoits, including three women, were arrested after a shootout with police in Karachi late Saturday night.

The shootout took place in Shah Faisal Colony.

According to police, six robbers snatched a taxi on gunpoint and tried to flee.

However, the taxi driver immediately informed the police, who chased the fleeing gang and asked them to stop. However, they opened indiscriminate fire, injuring five people, including three passers-by.

Police retaliated, injuring a woman robber and arresting all her five accomplices.

The injured were shifted to a nearby hospital
