Attendants torture doctors in Jinnah Hospital Lahore, two held

LAHORE: Attendants of a patient tortured doctors at Jinnah Hospital when the patient's condition became serious. Police held two men, SAMAA reported Sunday.

The emergency ward reopened after almost 13 hours.

Hospital sources said that patient, Mrs. Pervez, was brought to the emergency ward early in the morning, but her attendants scuffled with doctors when her condition became critical. Two doctors were injured.

Doctors stopped working in the ward, protesting against the attitude of the attendants.

A four-member committee was formed. Two men have been held and a case has been lodged at Garden Town police station
