Shia Ulema Council demands suspension of Rehman Malik

KARACHI: The Shia Ulema Council (SUC) has demanded the government to suspend Interior Minister Rehman Malik for his suggestion to limit religious activities as terrorist attacks can be avoided.

The Secretary of the SUC for Sindh, Nazir Abbas Naqvi, during his press conference at the Karachi Press Club on Thursday, was of the view that Rehman Malik being the interior minister, should avoid passing such advice.

He said that the government should take appropriate measures. Naqvi said that the Punjab government was not serious in the formation of the Judicial Commission.
