Mardan Suicide attacked on Ahmadi worship place foile

MARDAN: A deadly suicide attack on an Ahmadi worship place in Mardan has been foiled by security forces, SAMAA reported on Friday.

According to details, a suicide attacker tried to enter an Ahmadi worship place situated in the Muslimabad area of Mardan on Friday.

Security personnel vigilantly interrupted the suicide attacker and did not allow him to enter the building.

The suicide attacker, seeing no way to enter or retreat, blew himself to death in a final, desperate move.

A passerby was killed in this incident, along with the suicide attacker. Police and rescue teams rushed to the scene and transferred the dead bodies to a nearby hospital. The area was cordoned off by the forces.

Earlier in June, terrorists ambushed two Ahmadi worship places in Lahore. More than 100 people died in the deadly attack; scores of others sustained serious injuries. The terrorists managed to escape from the scene, leaving behind one injured accomplice who was captured by the police.

Later on, attackers tried to rescue their captured accomplice from police custody and attacked the hospital where he was being treated for injuries. Seven people, including policemen were killed in Jinnah Hospital.
