Karachi observes complete shut down to mourn MQM leader’s killing (www.geoinews.blogspot.com)

KARACHI: A complete closure is being observed in the metropolis to mourn the killing of Muttahida Qaumi (MQM) leader, Dr. Imran Farooq; majority of transport, schools, petrol pumps and business centers are closed today. All trading points of the city are closed; most of the roads and streets are completely vacant. There is scanty presence of pedestrians and motorists across the city.

The Chairman of Private Schools Management Association, Sharf-uz-Zaman, said while talking to SAMAA that Imran Farooq's assassination is very sad and to mourn his killing, all private schools will remain closed today.

Most of the city's petrol pumps are closed; the transporters alliance of Karachi has also announced to remain closed.

Due to the closure of transport and petrol pumps, people are facing great difficulty moving around in the city
