Altaf sees revolution in country soon

KARACHI: The Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) will not allow any corrupt political leader and feudal lord to escape and all the looted wealth will be returned to the national exchequer, MQM chief Altaf Hussain said on Thursday.

“A revolution similar to the French Revolution is knocking at the door of Pakistan and the MQM will lead that change,” Hussain said in a live telephonic address from London on the occasion of the book launch of MQM Coordination Committee Deputy Convener Anis Ahmed Qaimkhani at MQM headquarters.

All airports will be closed and these corrupt elements will be hanged publicly, so that no one would make an attempt to promote corruption in the country again, he said.

Price hike, hunger and poverty have compelled millions of people to bring such a revolution and no one can stop this revolution now, he added.

The flood victims are without food and shelter and they are ready to bring such revolution because a similar situation was witnessed before the French Revolution and the people took to the streets to bring a positive change, Hussain said.

When the weaknesses of the feudal lords and corrupt leaders were exposed, they started raising a hue and cry, he added.

He said these leaders were demanding a case of sedition to be registered against him, or for him to be tried under Article 6 of the constitution.

He recalled the sacrifices of the MQM activists and asked them to write down their experiences, so these books could benefit the world.
