Pre-Ramadan activities jammed Karachi roads

KARACHI: The pre-Ramadan activities of Karachi residents jammed traffic on the roads, SAMAA reported Wednesday.

Majority of the people rushed to bazaars for necessary shopping and others tried to reach to the mosques of their choices or areas for the performing of first Tarawih and consequently throughout the day vehicles remained stalled on the roads of the metropolis.

At the afternoon of Wednesday a worst traffic jam was apparent on Sharah-e-Faisal, M.A.Jinnah Road, I.I.Chundrigar Road, Rashid Minhas Road, University Road, Nazimabad and other important roads of the city.

Due to a very long traffic jams many vehicles fuel tank turned empty which made the traffic situation even more grave while many ambulances also remained stuck at many places.

The Sindh Government instructed the traffic police to make a traffic plan for Ramadan but officials made such a brilliant plan which compelled the people of Karachi to welcome Ramadan amid troublesome heavy road jams
